Well, I tried to make crackers with my left over fruit cake. I cut 1/16″ slices. ; I set the oven to the convection setting at 200 degrees, and I put the slices on my perforated tray. Then I baked them for about 30 minutes.
Being that the cracker is a bit sweet, it paired beautifully with this pungent, strong brie, but camembert or sharp cheddar is also an option. The sweetness would contrast nicely with something tart and/or spicy. Or they can remain dessert-ish and would be a good crunchy addition to vanilla ice cream, or yogurt or something else. What do you think?
